Herbalife Continues to Foster Good Health and Fitness Among Peace Officers in Los Angeles

Global nutrition company, Herbalife (NYSE: HLF), continues to be a good community neighbor by supporting good health and wellbeing among local fire fighters and LAPD officers through its fitness center and the Mark Hughes Café at the company’s campus in Torrance, Los Angeles.

Since 2007, Herbalife has welcomed local fire fighters and law enforcement officers to its main campus in Torrance as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation, granting them access to the company’s private fitness center and healthy cafeteria, the Mark Hughes Café. This courtesy has also been extended to Robbery Division detectives from Parker Center, a school police K9 officer and a Special Units officer from South L.A.. A total of approximately 30 peace officers have benefited from access to both facilities since Herbalife established this community initiative.

In line with its mission of providing nutrition for a better life and promoting healthy active lifestyles, Herbalife has an extensive employee wellness program. As part of that program, the company offers its employees access to a full service gym and the Mark Hughes Café, which offers nutritious breakfasts and lunches, with recipes and dishes developed by Herbalife’s own nutritionists and health experts.

“Herbalife offers a nice, modern facility. We are a community-based organization, just like Herbalife, and we have established a great relationship. Herbalife always make us feel very welcome here,” stated a local participating fire fighter.
