Herbalife has officially set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® Achievement for Most Participants in a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Workout in 24 Hours in multiple venues! On March 7, 2015 at 9 a.m. local time, thousands of Independent Herbalife Members, Herbalife employees, and friends and family members around the globe took part in World Record Workout, the largest workout in Herbalife history.

“This is an incredible achievement for everyone at Herbalife and a lot of people had a lot of fun. People from every corner of the globe gathered together in their communities with one goal – to show the world the importance of exercise as part of a healthy life,” said Michael Johnson, Herbalife Chairman and CEO.

Those who participated got a great workout and helped a worthy cause. This workout benefited Herbalife Family Foundation, which provides good nutrition to more than 100,000 children around the globe every day.

Tens of thousands took part in Nutrition Clubs, parks and public meeting places from New Zealand to Mexico to Italy. Herbalife Director of Worldwide Fitness Education Samantha Clayton led the workout from a packed Nokia Plaza at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) burns fat and calories at a higher rate than traditional cardio exercise, such as cycling or running. Samantha pre-recorded a full video so others around the world could synchronize and practice. If you missed it, check it out below.

For the last few weeks, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook (#WorldWorkout) have been flooded with updates from participants preparing for the challenge. The positive energy grew to a fever pitch on the day of the event with nearly 4,000 participating at L.A. Live alone. Check out the pictures at the World Record Workout site.

The commitment from everyone around the world was inspiring. Thanks to all who made World Record Workout a success.
